United We Ride is an interagency Federal national initiative that supports States and their localities in developing coordinated human service delivery systems. In addition to State coordination grants, United We Ride provides State and local agencies transportation, coordination and planning self-assessment tools, help along the way, technical assistance, and other resources to help their communities succeed.

Governor Jon S. Corzine signed Executive Order No. 87 creating the New Jersey Council on Access and Mobility. This council will work to make the most efficient and effective use of State resources to ensure that the elderly, disabled and transportation disadvantaged have access to community based transportation services.
