Essential Skills for Customer Service Representatives

Customer service representatives are the voice of the transit organization. They project their agency’s image and play a critical role in building good customer relationships. Participants in this course will learn how to:

  • Explain the basics of providing a high quality customer service;
  • Identify the six elements of professionalism;
  • Respond to the needs of the transit dependent;
  • Demonstrate effective communications skills;
  • Maintain a positive attitude; and
  • Develop a self-improvement plan to meet their needs.

 This training is free to employees of New Jersey community transportation providers.
